A Nore From Mr. T. To The Class of 1982 Each September since 1978 I have welcomed you to the beginning of another school year for another chapter in your adolescent life. This time my letter carries a very different and somewhat difficult message because I realize we have completed our last year together. I have come to know and to care for each of you in a very special way during our four year association at East. We have shared many experiences. We have laughed together and cried togeth- er, but most of all we have grown together. You have made a permanent impression on me and I hope I have helped you make your high school years a very pleasant and rewarding experience. I have sincerely enjoyed being your principal and your friend, and I will miss you. While your time at East has come to an end. the work you have done and the energy you spent have prepared you well for the future. You have excelled in the classroom, on the playing field, on the stage and in the community in 760 different and unique ways. Above all. you have made commitments in friend- ship that will help you handle the trials and survive the successes of adult life. Through it all. please remember that I am always available to you if you need me and I look forward to seeing and hearing from you often in years to come. Time and distance mean nothing between friends. As you begin the exciting and challenging journey into adulthood, please take with you my very best wishes as expressed in the following blessing from Numbers 6:2406. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord lift His countenance upon you; And give you peace. The Lord make His face to shine upon you. And be gracious unto you. A Nore From Mr. B In years to come, when I pick up this aged and dusty yearbook, and as I leaf through. I'll nostalgically think of the past four years which have been so important to me. I’ll remember how we all entered East at the same time, and as freshmen, things were bewildering. In all my years being involved in student activities I had never been a class advisor, so I looked forward to this new experience. The past four years have proven to be everything I ever thought they would be. I have enjoyed working with and getting to know so many of you in many different ways. As you enter another door of life, to many of you it is a major step to securing your goals but no means the last door you’ll have to face. Thank you for becoming such an important part of my life and may each and every one of you reach for and achieve whatever goal you may set for yourselves. There are so many things I’ll remember, as the years upon years go past. But most of all. as your advisor, I’ll remember with pride the wonderful kids in the Class of ’82. 119
