hnyoylng the view of our beautiful scenic city are the officers of the Class of '59: George Derryberry, Vice Presidentg Ann Tyer, Treasurerg Sharon Barker, Secretaryg and Kent Shalibo, President. Page Meet me under the clock has been a familiar slogan to the members of the Class of ,59. As we entered the vast building which was to be our home for three years, the old clock was there to greet us and help us to find our way. We soon met our class sponsor, Miss Pryor, a face that would become as familiar to us as that of the clock. We elected class officers and cheer- leaders, presented the Thanksgiving Pro- gram, entertained the ninth graders, and assisted with many school parties during our first year under the clockv. Feeling very big and important, we assumed many new responsibilities as juniors. Our clock watched over us as we presented Yom' Every Wish as our Junior Play. Stunt Nite, class projects and 24 I OR parties, and the junior-Senior Prom were a few of the activities that filled our junior year. Our clock seemed to tick away the minutes of our last year at City much faster than in the past. This year was filled with many wonderful memories that will never be forgotten. The Seniors presented The Barretts of Wimpole Street as our Class Play, and we gave a beautiful Christmas program for the children from the local orphanages. Dean Barger was elected the new class treasurer, and an excellent select- ion of award winners was made. May Day, the Senior Picnic, Class Night, and the Baccalaurate service will always stand out in our memories. To complete a wonder- ful year, none of us will ever forget gradu- ation day.

Varied Need of Students In addition to the regular curriculum, CHS offers courses such as d r i v i n g . R u s s i a n , child care, psychology and socialogy. In the belief that faster students should 11ot be held back, and slower students should not be pushed beyond their abilities, CHS classes are planned to suit the individual. For many years English, mathematics and science have had enriched classes. Keeping up a fast pace, the comprehensive mathematics class concentrates on the test.
