Treasurer With the donning in September, I947, ot the djgnitied Title Senior, the Class of '48 began to render their last year of service to The school. They were responsible for The ticket sales of several foot- ball games, including Those vvith Baylor, Soddy-Daisy, and Rossville. Some ot The senior girls added To Their service records by assisting with The Homecoming Dinner. Besides many members of The class Taking part in The entertainment Tor Stunt Nite, The whole class competed with The Junior and Sophomores in The Ticket sales. The Tirst main activity sponsored by The Senior Class was The Harvest Festival with its cider, cookies, and Tun Tor all. The next activity of The Class was The production ot The Senior Play, Quiet Sum- mer, under The able direction of Miss Katherine Pryor. At Christmas The Seniors helped Santa by both entertaining a group of orphans and under-privileged children and supplying giTTs Tor Them. End-ot-the-year activities began in April with the weird creatures and delicious luncheon of Senior Day. The first of May brought the beautiful May Day celebration. Awards Day soon followed. Then in that Tinal week beginning with the Baccalaureate Sermon were the Senior Picnic, Class Day, and the never-to-be-forgotten Commencement! Thus, with their diplomas securely in hand, the Class of I948 took their leave of Chattanooga High School.
