LIFE However, life is nor oil fun and gomes. Believe if or not, there is a time for seriousness. There comes a rime when you must fight for what you believe. The Juniors proved this when it come rime to build the traditional Homecoming Bonfire. However, the Seniors, not to be outdone by any means, ran awoy with the poster contest. Also, any So- phomore would be more than happy to sit you down and scream SOPHOMORE M-A-N-l-A, SOPHOMORE MANIA! in your ear. The mighty Freshmen are not to be taken lightly either; they hold their ground at any pep rally. The eighth and seventh graders proved to everyone their spirit also. They completely dominated the Spirit Chain event. Another serious side to life is that one must make a living, somehow. Before school, after school, and on weekends, one can find many CHS students trying to make an extra buck or two. These are envied by those who ore less fortunate, and cannot find employment, bur that's life . .. And, this is life, too . . . Student Life. More importantly, it is the CHS Student Life. The next few pages will let you explore the many colorful facets of the CHS Student Life, so, by all means, continue . . . srudenr life 19

A school is mode up of mony people • from the county superin- tendent to the principol; from the teachers to the custodial staff. However, more important than oil these ore the students; for without the students, there would be no need for a school. And, contrary to o populor belief held by mony teachers, the student also has a private life. The CHS student hos o life that is both unique and similar to others. Some people may joke about life in o small town being boring, but they'd be surprised at the fun the CHS students hove. Mony CHS students dwell on the upcoming weekend. During the winter, o Friday night is usually spent of o football gome, and o Saturday night or the movies. After the movie, the students might grab o pizza or o ham- burger. But winter is only one of the four seasons in a student's life. Summer is the most exciting time of the year. CHS students long for weekends at the beach. One may find mony CHS students on Panama City Beach during the summer, especially during spring holidays. Shopping for that sum- mer wardrobe is also a favorite of the girls. If one would like to find out more about the CHS students, just go where the students are. There con be found a group of students hanging our ot Naomi's or the Junior Food Store absorbed in the video games. There can also be found o group of CHS students congregating in the parking lot in the morning before school or in the gym or lunch. There's a pretty knowledgeable group in front of the school before the first bell and there is another crowd behind the gym or lunch, (usually in o gome of football). 5TUDENT 18 student life
