Compliments of Perini, Walsh, Mills, and Blythe Bros. FOREWORD Within these pages, we, the staff of the '54 Yellow Jackets , bring to you the Chattahoochee High events of the past year. We have chosen as our theme for the '54 Yellow Jacket - 'Chattahoochee, a good place to live, work and play. We hope you learn from these pages just why we think Chatta- hoochee is such a good place. We sincerely thank everyone in our school and com- munity who has helped make this '54 Yellow Jacket possible. We hope that you enjoy the Yellow Jacket as much as we have enjoyed producing it. May it al- ways bring back pleasant memories to you. It is our pleasure to present to you the '54 Yellow Jacket. We hope you will be proud of it. --- Barbara Brooks Editor TABLE OF CONTENTS ADMINISTRATION CLASSES ATHLETICS ACTIVITIES 2 DEDICATION Traditionally, a yearbook is dedicated to someone or something. This year there was no doubt in our minds as to whom our yearbook should be dedicated. We dedi- cate this yearbook to the people of Chattahoochee. Without you we could not have achieved the successes we have enjoyed. We dedicate this yearbook to you: --our parents who have been longsuffering --our churches who have guided us spiritually --our business men who have been so generous --our teachers who have been patient --and to all of you who have aided us in ways too numerous to mention. 3 PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE I wish to congratulate the Seniors, the student body and the sponsors who have worked so dili- gently in making this yearbook. The school, and the community can be proud of your tireless ef- fort to achieve a most worthwhile and outstand- ing annual. We believe that the school's program has met the educational needs and aspirations of the com- munity as well as providing opportunity and per- sonal growthfor each individual student. Tribute must be paid to the pupils, teachers and parents in contributing to the maximum social and per- sonal development for the ones served by the school. IN MEMORIAM OF ANNETTE H. SUBER The best expression of our feeling is found in the words of Tennyson's In Memoriam A. H.H. where it was said that We have but faith; we cannot know, For knowledge is of things we see; And yet we trust it comes from thee, A beam in darkness; let it grow.
