A growing success is the best title for Charlestown's Cross Country Team. Under the coaching of Mr. Hotin, the team finished the season with an impressive 4-3 record. A large number of boys turned out for this fascinating sport, and we all hope that they will return next year along with many new runners. TOWLE AT CHARLESTOWN. B. Woods gets his number. It gives the teachers ovinion LEFT TO RIGHT: I. Barber, R. I-lighter, D. Starr, Mr. Alan Davis, N. Moquin. The Iunior class realizing what they had to accomplish beiore they became the graduating class, settled down to a year of hard work. Since they are the last class to go on an extensive senior trip, their most important job was to raise money for the coming year. They did this through their Junior Dance, socials., food sales, etc. At the same time they contributed generously to school functions and sports. CHARLESTOWN 30, WALPOLE 27 At the end of the first half, Walpole led by 3 points. This was an exciting game for both teams because of the close rivalry. After the second half started, the Fortettes really got going, scoring 20 points to Walpole's 13, leaving the final score 30-27, Charlestown. Hall and Barrett were high scorers for Walpole. Moquin and Royce were top scorers for the Fortettes. CHARLESTOWN 51, STEVENS 34 The Charlestown la ssies were really hot the afternoon they played Stevens! At half-time Charlestown led, 29-14. During the second half, they made 22 points to Steven's 21, leaving the final score 51-35, Charlestown. Moquin and Royce were high scorers for the winners, while Ierard and Klementowitz led the losers. AT LEFT TOP: Suzi makes a shot. AT LEFT BOTTOM: Lynn's one hand push!
