This first edition of the FLAMING TORCH has been published with but
one aim: to capture a year between its covers. We know that life at the
Charles Hart Junior High School can notbe related in black and white be
cause of a multitude of realities which are too intangible but, perhaps in
some small way we hope to preserve the friendships which we all hold so
dear. If this book serves only to bridge the past and bring to mind the
priceless memories of joy and pleasures of the year just gone, It will have
served its purpose.
' With these thoughts, we proudly present to you, the students, your 1971
F LAMIN G TORCH .
