This year one-hundred-thirty Brush stu- dents represent the National Honor Society. Only fifteen percent of the senior class earns the distinction of wearing the Na- tional Honor Society pin, the torch that s mbolizes leadership, character, scholar- ship, and service. The Brush faculty con- siders academically qualified students for the organization on the basis of their char- acter, community involvement, and extra- curricular activities. This year ' s advisors are Miss Margaret Walker and Mr. Herbert Rice. More than an honorary organization, the National Honor Society supports the United Appeal campaign and the Thanks- giving clothing drive and sponsors a bake sale and an annual dinner with Mayfield N.H.S. chapter. The year culminates with the spring induction of new members from the junior class. N.H.S.
