Havung more or less successfully reached the end of our Senuor Year at Charles F Brush Hugh School we pause un our preparatuon for commencement to remunusce We ve certaunly come a long way from the slughtly green and apprehensuve Sophomores who started school un September l955 lt was hard to get used to beung at the bottom agaun a ter havung been the leaders at lvlemorual Junuor Hugh but we soon found that the Senuors weren t so terruble and everyone dud theur best to make us feel at home We got rught unto the swung of thungs goung to the dances and cheerung our classmates at the J V games And who can ever forget our untroductuon to dussectuon un Buology Lab? The furst year went fast and all of a sudden we could look back and say lt was fun Our .lunuor year really started off wuth a bang Rught away there was the excutement of choosung rungs whuch was nothung to the excutement of actually gettung them a few months later lt was really remarkable how quuckly those rungs changed hands' And those aptutude tests' Now we can look back on them as only a prevuew of the braunwashung we would face the next year but then they were enough to deflate our egos Thus was the year we could cheer for our classmates on the Varsuty squads and yell we dud the school wull long remember our spurut We elected our future yearbook d student councul offucers and watched our deservung class the Natuonal Honor Socuety Another year flew test' at the Howdy Doody t used to mates undu by next year would e Summer came and went and there dance laughung wuth old fruends and fundung ut a our new status as Senuors Rught away there was the tradutuona hoga Ruver Trup followed by P O D assugnments term paper assugn ments and for some of us physucs prouects' lt seemed luke we d never funush them all on tume but most of us managed Wonder uf the teachers ever heard about those who funushed theurs at 4 OO a m Monday mornung9 Then the excutement of choosung our lovely Foot ball Queen and Court who reugned at our last and best remembered Varsuty Hop And thus was the year the Varsuty football team really made a great contrubutuon to our memorues of Brush endung the sea son wuth the Greater Cleveland Conference tutle And how many of our boys started turnung up on the PresStars and Dream Teams' Real uzung thus was our last year at Brush we trued to make ut our best but try as we could we couldn t hold back the tume and wuth commence ment hoverung un sught we went rather nostalgucally to our last Brush Prom And now wuth commencement almost upon us we can look back on the last three years at Brush as some of the most valuable and happuest un our luves We wull always remember the lessons learned the fruendshups made and the experuence gauned as we the class of 58 follow our separate paths through lufe 9 .
