FHS- . in R 'B it x x E X fw A ,J MR. F. MILLER Conductor BAND During the fall of the year the band could be seen ardently practicing every morning first period for the next footfall game. Whether at home or away, the band always put on a sparkling halftime show. During the rest of the year, a very full schedule of events follows, under the direction of Mr. Frank Miller. Besides participating at each pep assembly the band also performed at the Armistice Day Assembly, the Memorial Day Assembly, the Maple Sugar Festival, and also in combined concerts with Garfield and Shaw. Havdu Each year a number of girls show an interest in becoming nurses or doctors. To furrher these interests, the Future Nurses Club provides opportunities to visit various hos- pitals in the Cleveland area and talk with people in these professions. One of their main activities is an annual Mother-Daugh- ter Tea. During the year they also view movies and em- ploy speakers, such as former graduates who have entered hospitals as student nurses. Brush Chapter of Future Teachers of America, under the sponsorship of Mrs. Alice Seginac, is a close association between teachers and students. The pur- pose of this organization is to learn about the opportuni- ties in teaching: to cultivate the qualities essential in a good teacher: and to visit schools and colleges. The officers are M.
