Hur-ry, hur-ry, hur-ry! Step right up! The big show's about to begin! It's stupendous! Colossal! with enough memories to last you a lifetime! These words marked the beginning of a long-awaited excur- sion. No longer were we compelled to peek curiously under the outer fringe of the big top: we were mighty high school freshmen, actually entering the tall gates of admission for our trip through the fabulous Miduvay. The class of 1950 has since reached the end of that wonderful journey. We've stopped at the booths, tasted and tested the wares of each barker. Most of us have traversed the Midway to a useful and well-rounded education. Through time and con- scientious effort, our tickets have been transformed into prizes of knowledge and ribbons of merit. Others among us found the sideshows and diversified attrac- tions lining the edge of the main stem too alluring to resist. 12
