DIAL Seated from left to right-Jerrine Brunn, Cynthia Damiano, Marcia Smiech, An- wggxalone, editor: Barbara Newburg, Paulette Skoros, Cathy Muehlbauer, Sandra D Standing from left to right-Carol Tanzella, Irene Thomson, Joyce Perriman, Eileen Thomson, Charles Wilson, Carol Milczarski, Sue Yanik, Carol Pasisz, Joanne Leplano, assistant editor: Gary Hayes, Robert Berthot, Linda Ledingham, Lorna Rusk. The Dial is the official news medium at the Gaskill Junior High School. Through the efforts of 25 staff members and their advisor, Miss Fezer, our faculty and student body is kept well informed on the latest happenings on the Blue and Gold campus. Approximately 850 people received issues of the Dial this year. The large number of subscriptions and the keen enthusiasm shown by the stu- dents is a fine tribute to our entire student body. A desire on the part of boys and girls to be well informed on school happenings will have a natural carry-over when they take' their place in society to be well informed on world happenings. Another purpose of the Dial is to stimulate a vocational interest among our students in newspaper work. By performing all the journalistic tasks that are a part of publishing a newspaper, it is felt that students will have a greater appreciation for this type of work. Perhaps some of our students will be stimulated to choose journalism as a career. Thus, the Dial is doing a worthwhile service in reporting the news and at the same time helping some of our students mature vocationally. ANGELA MALONE JOANNE LEPIANO 67
