CHEERLEADERS Becoming a cheerleader is the goal of almost every girl entering Gaskill. After the reopening of school in September, enthusiasm and anxiety begin to develop within Gaskill's ninth grade girls. During the second week of school, under the direction of Mrs. Hendrick, the tortuous week began. Seventy girls tried out, and the committee finally agreed upon the following girls: Kathy Conti, Janet Militello, Roslyn Murgia, and Marilyn Leon. Tenth grade cheerleaders are: Rosemary Rizzotto lcaptainl, Dana Berman, Charlotte Conti, and Carolyn Stouck. School spirit is fostered not only by the cheerleaders but also with the help at the student body.
