FOREWORD When our staff first started planning Blue and Gold Memories uf 1960, we wanted it to be a book that would always remind us of Gaskill and the things the school has given us, We thought of all man has had to learn through the years and decided we wanted to use Egypt, where learning had so many important beginnings, for our theme, Junior high school has been an Egypt for us. We have placed many lasting foundation stones in our pyramid of learning. Carefully, sometimes joyfuliy, sometimes laboriously and sometimes only with strong guidance, our experiences in our studies, in art and music, in sports and clubs, have become proud accomplishments we could use to build our personal pyramids. We plan to continue that building and hope to make our lives ci monument that truly will endure as long as the pyramids. Our staff would like to thank Mr. Sharp and Miss Brennan, our advisors, Mr. Abbott, Mr. Goldstein, the faculty and the student body for their interest and support in making this a yearbook that would meet the expectations of every Gaskill student.
