GAI PAREE Paris was the theme of this year's variety show production, Gai Paree The show was the result of the combined efforts of many Gaskill students and teachers. Directing the show was Mr. Gavin, assisted by Mrs, Schreiber. Much of the music for the program was taken from the musical score af Gigi , and was played by Gaskill's Dance Band under the direction of Mr. Schatz. Gai Paree consisted of three scenes: The Street Scene, the Beatnik Scene, and the Night Club Scene. One of the highlights of the program was: l'The Night They Invented Champagne, sung by Carolyn Stouck, Louise Scheider, Joe Palumbo, and Philip Kellar, accompanied by the Dance Band. Other high spots of the program: Under Paris Skies, by Donna Mottice, the German Band, 'Thank Heaven For Little Girls with Joe Palumbo and Phil Kellar, The Cho Cha, Misty by Carolyn Stouck, Putting on the Ritz by Sharon Lynch, Carol Sevchik, Norma Studi, Elyse Olearczyk, Donna Hann, and Pat Kowalski, and of course, the Can Can. Two short plays were enacted, They were 'lOn the Afternoon of October 20 and 'tBody, Body, Who's Got the Body? Both plays were highly entertaining. Louise Scheider i - - .u
