We had come from all over the country, from the East coast to the West coast, from the frigid North to the humid South, from the farmlands to the big cities, as well as from foreign countries. Because of our various origins, we act differently, speak differently, think differently, and dress differ- ently. We have come from contrasting regions all over the country including: the Rocky Mountains of the West, the industrial cities of the East, the fresh-water lakes in the North, and the salt-water oceans on the East and West coasts. 5. Although the majority of us are from some area other than Arizona, there is a group of us who are natives of the Arizona desert.

With such a wealth of backgrounds and personalities, together we created a year that we can declare our own. Take a look at the living, the working, the competing, the organizing, and the smiling and you will have an insight of the year's unique activities and the unique individuals who made them happen.
