X 1 X 1 The VARSITY GIRLS BAS- KETBALL season was good. Some key people were lost right before the league started and there were some bad injuries at the wrong time that kept them from being 100'ZJ during league play, but the girls played their best. Coach Lynch said, One of the bright spots of this year was finding two young freshmens, Tasha John- son Yteb Bowls. These two combined with Yvette Ortega and Josie Vas- quez, and Valerie Solitaire make the future look bright. But this year I'd like to say good-bye to three very special players and friends, good luck in the future Cam, Carol and Cindy. The girls were Consolation Champs at the Thousand Oaks Tour- nament. Yvette Ortega was All Tour- nament. At the Oxnard Tournament the team came in third. Nancy Tayau and Yvette Ortega were All Tournament. The overall record was 12 and 13. League was 2 and 10, and pres-season was 10 and 3.
