They have put on phenomenal homecomings, dances and other activities. The greatest part of it all is that every- thing is done by students. Of course the advisor, Tom Parizo, is always around to guide them when he is needed, but all of the handwork and decision making is done by the members of ASB. Every member learns the importance of delegating and following through responsibility. Being exposed to such concepts has definitely better prepared them for their future and made them better people today. ASB 131

Cheerleaders are in charge of all the rallies. The Varsity, JV, and Fresh- man all get together and brainstorm ideas. They take a vote and choose the best. They also try their best to take care of the athletes, which in sports such as football, basketball, and baseball. All three squads went to USA sum- mer Cheerleading Camp. Varsity split up and went to sing and cheer. Both song's and cheerls had to take a perfor- mance to show to the USA staff. They were evaluated and both groups re- ceived SUPERIOR. They also had to learn song routines and cheers and re- ceived SUPERIOR on those also. Each night the camp gave out SPIRIT STICKS which go to the squads with the most SPIRIT!!! Channel Islands High School re- ceived one each night. Their hope for the underclassmen, is to continue to bring out School Spirit and Pride throughout their four years at Cl.
