There were three performing organizations on campus: jazz Band, Concert Choir, and ConcertfMarching Band. All three performed numerous times during the year for many different types of functions. ln addition to these performing organizations, C.l. Music Department also offered Chorus, Treble Choir, Survey of Music, Guitar, Orchestra and Varsity Band. Mr. Riggs believes that there was something for everyone in the music program. The department members were Mr. Riggs and Mr. Engels. Mr. Riggs, the Department Chairperson, was busy this year as Choir Director and also taught Chorus, Treble Choir and Survey of Music. Mr. Engels taught Guitar, Orchestra and Varsity Band in addition to directing the Concert! Marching Band and jazz Band.

They learned the skills to obtain jobs in offices as receptionist secretaries, clerical workers, bookkeepers, recordkeepers, sales and marketing positions and office machines operators. The students enjoyed the classes because the business department really taught something that was useful.
