Our class trip was to Mesker Park. Our eighth grade was both a happy and sad one. We had a wonderful basketball team that year. We won most of our games and also the Holiday Tourney. The cheerleaders were Ann Baker, Gale Lockhart and Marion Algaier. Mr. Adye was our sponsor and our class trip was to Spring Mill State Park. We lost two of our dear friends that year, Bucky McCall and Bobby Allen; they are deceased. Then we started our freshman year with 40; we were as green as possible and scared stiff. Mr. Turney was our sponsor and we went to Mesker Park for our class trip. Gary Lockhart was on the varsity squad and Ann Baker was cheerleader. Then came the sophomore year; we were almost half-way through high school. Mr. Cato was our sponsor and we went to Spring Mill State Park on our class trip. The boys on the basketball team from our room were Gary Fisher, Reuben Watson and Gary Lockhart. Now that we are juniors, we are half-way through high school. Mrs. Ellis and Mrs. Kincaid are our sponsors. Just one more year and we shall say goodbye to all the happy times we have had in Chandler High School. We hope high school will be as good to you as it has been to the juniors of 1956. H A. A i. 0 A y 18

(That's usl I) We had a wonderful guy as our teacher, Mr. Roy Smith. Several new pupils came and went during that year. Among them were Doris Martin and Phyllis Rowley. Our officers for that year were: president-Larry Simpson, vice-president-Leroy Hildebrant, secretary-Linda Williams, treasurer- Jack Bock, reporter-Dana Bruce. We couldn't wait for the end of the year, since this was our first class trip. We took it to Spring Mill. Our eighth grade year was a lot different from our seventh grade year. We crowned our bas- ketball queen (Marion May); had two cheerleaders from our room (Linda Williams and Dorthy Bennet); ordered our class rings; and got into plenty of meanness in between time. We kept our sponsor, Mrs. Lowell, pretty busy. Our officers for that year were: president-Leroy Hildebrant, vice-president-Frank Spencer, secretary-Marion May, treasurer-Linda Williams, reporters-Dana Bruce, Doris Hetzel. Toward the end of the year we were sorry that Marion May and Robert Buckman were in the hospital. Our class trip was again at Spring Mill. Here we are. High School At Last I I All forty of us. We had as new class members: Ruby Leslie, Sharon Broshears, Aaron Wesselman, Bob Wiscaver, Vonita Majors, Janice Mortimer. We were sorry to lose Gary Williams; he got a transfer to Boonville. (We all wonder still (why)!) Our sponsor was Mrs. Boyd. We took a class trip to Wyndotte Cave and had a skating party in Feb. Our officers were: president-Sandra Younker, vice-president-Larry Simpson, secretary- Marion May, treasurer-Gayle Hatchett, and news reporter-Linda Williams. The year (1955-1956) sophomores at last. We only have two new members: Marjorie Scales, Raymond Loveless. We have as our sponsor M. Boyles and we had a hayride at the first of the year to Scales Lake. We ordered our class jackets this year. Everyone liked them (except the juniors) and they all got a good fit. Our class officers for the year are: president-Larry Simpson, vice-president-Leroy Hildebrant, secretary-Doris Hetzel, treasurer-Darlene Michel, reporter- Linda Williams. c 1 a A A H A. JL o A. if 19
