CHORUSANDBANDR ECHVEHONORS Chandler High students exhibited the musical ability that has long distin- guished CHS at the state Solo and En- semble Festival this January . The lVIad- rigals extended a state record by re- ceiving their 13th consecutive superior rating . Other students to receive this rating were: tChorusD Mike Romero, bass, Sue iVIcCutcheon and Lynn Ken- dall, sopranosp tl3andJ lVlax Fuller, cello, Pam lVlarstein, snare drum, and Karla Pace, piano. Excellent ratings were achieved by: CChorusJ Don Asselin, tenor, Carriene Porter, alto: Julie Gor- man, soprano, tBandi Lynn Tess, piano, Pam lVIarstein, malletsf and Karla Pace, clarinet. Several other students also participated in the festival. These stu- dents are all coached by either lVIr. Gary Larkins, who teaches band, or by IVlr. John Hollingshead, who teaches CHS vocal music.
