The Chandler chapter of the National Honor Society was very active during the 1976-1977 school year. President Tracy Carr, Vice- President Joanna Jew , Sec- retary Terri Lawson, and Secretary Ellen Wilson led the club through several fund raising projects, such as the dance they sponsored and the prism bumper stickers members sold during second NAT. HONOR SOCIETY ESTABLISHES UNIQUE SCHOLARSHIP FUND semester. Sponsor Diane Griffith also helped the chapter es- tablish a new honor point system. Eligibility had before consisted only of a 2 .0 grade average, with no dis- tinctions made between a grade made in an accelerated course such as Physics and a similar mark in Paperback Power. The new system will take into account the degree of difficulty a high grade in each course requires. A Scholarship Committee was also established this year to supervise the award- ing of two NHS scholarships. Two CHS students, Tracy Carr and Dinah Bratcher, were chosen to apply for the national scholarships pre- sented each year.
