CHS STATERS LEARN ABOUT GOVERNMENT The announcement last April of the 1976 Girls' State and Boys' State delegates, along with the four alternates, brought a lot of sur- prise and even more questions. Although the honor of being chosen to represent one's school in these week-long mock governments was a well-known one, no one seemed quite sure what it entailed. What it meant to Dinah Bratcher, JoAnna Jew, Sherri IVlcCain, Vernon Pender- gast, Tim Wallender, Richard Gustafson, Gary Ervin, and Mark Reed was a week of madlyvrunning for every office available in a crash of events, and meeting people their age from almost every school in the state. Alternates were Ellen Wilson, Sandy lVlartinez, Randy Truxal, and Tim Deardorff. A solo shot of Vernon Pendergast was not available Dinah Bratcher, Gary Ervin, Sherri McCain, Vernon Pendergast, Tim Wallender, JoAnn Jew, Mark Reed ,, J me... . .wr ,lk Below: JoAnn Jew Bottom: Tim Wallender V Q' X LX, f'ff'3ii5ti1gR State rs -45
