LINDA, MARK, JOHN, STEVE, AND MR. DORAN TAKE RDLES lVlark Reed, a senior at Chandler High this year, has been involved in CHS drama for some time . His most re- cent role was that of the killer in Wait Until Dark . Mark played the master- mind, and manipulated the con men into terrorizing the blind woman with the doll. Other presentations he has had a part in were Ten Little lndians , History of the U .S . , and Dracula . He also played the Student Body President in the studentffaculty production of Up the Down Staircase . lVlark is an active member of the CHS Speech and Debate Team. MARK REED FINISHES 4 LINDA STARS IN THRILLER Sophomore Linda Winget had her first starring role this year, as Suzie Hendrix in Wait Until Dark . The part was one o a blind woman possessing a doll filled with cocaine. This was not Linda's first dramatic endeavor at CHS-she was also involved in The Drunkard , portraying a crazy woman . Her latest production is The Mouse f That Roared , playing Gloriana the 12th, ruler of the duchy of Grand Fenwick.

BANGO KENYON PLAYS TULLY Bill C Bango l Kenyon began his career in Chandler High drama with the minor role ofa rebellious student fn Up The Down Staircase and has moved on from there. Since then he has played the light role of the butler in Dracula , a terrific bartender in The Drunkard , a con artist in Wait Until Dark and now the major part of Tully Bascom, High Constable of Grand FGl'lWlCl4, in The IVlouse That Roared . Bill is also a big participant in OCDHS, and has been involved with A.P.A.C. , Christ- mas and pantomime shows . Other activities in- clude competing with the Speech and Debate Team. ROBB ASHCROFT ACTIVE IN A.P.A.C AND MOUSE Sophomore Robb Ashcroft just began his work in Chandler High School drama this year, but already he has become a favorite with many of the CHS students. Most saw Robb playing various roles during the Christmas Assembly . Then Robb was in Wait Until Dark C Flashlight spot number 2, he saysl. lVIore recently he has been playing a starring role in the comedy hit, The Mouse That Roared and is very active in A.P.A.C. l

JOHN BISSEN PLAYS THRILLER'S EX-CON Although John Bissen has been active in wrestling, chorus, and the V,I ,C,A, Club, up until this year he had never tried his hand at drama. So this fall he tried out for the part of a confidence man in the smash thriller, Wait Until Dark . He got the part and did a very good job with it, portraying the ex-con who is used by a ruth- less killer to retrieve a large sum of cocaine . DORAN'S PRES. For IVIr. Thomas Doran his role in the play IVlouse That Roared was a first. lVlr. Doran said that he hadn't been in any sort of drama since grade school, when he played a shepherd and had only two lines. l really have great respect for IVlr. Fain and the kids now that I know just how much lVlr. Doran appeared in three major scenes of the play. He eels that the time and effort put forth into the play was really worthwhile . One of the major parts in the play, The Mouse That Roared is that of Count IVlount- joy, the suave politician. Steve Williamson was chosen to take this role, although this is his first play, and has enjoyed the experience . Said Steve of his character, I portray an aris- tocratic leader-of-the-people, Count IVlount- ioy- ' Steve became interested in the theater when he took the Theatre Arts course .
