A native of Cleveland, Father Francis Gerber joined the Society of Mary in 1929. He made his perpetual vows in 1937. Father entered the seminary in 1942 and was ordained in 1945. His early teaching experience was obtained at Chaminade, Dayton and Chaminade, Mineola. His most important assignment, Father feels, was the mis- sionary work he did at Saint Joseph's College in Yokohama, Japan, from 1948 to 1955. Since 1956, Father has been here at Chaminade, where he has been teaching religion and has recently become Di- rector of the Sodality. We are proud to have Father with us and, in order to help him celebrate his 25 years ot service to us, we dedicate this book to him. Brother Herman Lambers has held many and varied occupations. He has shown skill as an engineer, mechanic, work supervisor, and cook. Brother spent seven years as Business Manager at Mount Saint John. He was one ofthe pioneers in setting up Chaminade Prepara- tory at Marcy, New York. ln January of 1952 he was called upon to open and manage the new cafeteria here. Brother Herman spends nearly 12 hours a day in the cafeteria. He starts at 6:00 a.m. and finishes after 5:00 p.m. Brother Lambers was born in Cincinnati and belonged to Saint Agnes Parish. We are happy to ioin in congratu- lating him on his Silver Jubilee. 1 3
