Aller serving one year on lhe pioneer faculiy of Wesi Calholic in Philadelphia, he received his firsl' missionary assignmenl - +o S+. Joseph's High School, Yoko- hama, Japan. Here he was decoralecl by 'rhe French Governmenl for his services 'lo educaiion in Japan. ln l930 he was appoinled Direclor of Chaminade Preparaiory in Sania Cruz. Three years la+er he was given ihe delicale mission of leading 'rhe firsl group of Marianisi' missionaries in+o China. I+ was only a monih afier his reiurn from China lhai' Chaminacle High School called upon his services. He has been here for flue lasi' lwelve years and has laughl geomefry, irigonomelry, and English +o 'lhe saiisfaciion of half a genera- 'fion of +he Men of Chaminade.
