ur Theme . . . For years the hope of a new Chaminade spurred on the faculty, students, and friends ' b the to wipe out the de t on school, so that a new addition could be started. Finally, under the guidance of Bro. Matthew, work was at last begun. Father Connaughton, Mayor Lohrey, and Bro. Matthew highlighted the long-awaited groundbreaking ceremonies with their words of inspiration and encouragement. That sunny day in October will long remind us of the courageous step the school took when Bro. Matthew removed the first spadeful. -gn tm As the annual goes to press, foundations have been com- pleted, muct first floor work is already finished, and the auditorium and gymnasium are beginning to take shape.
