'Me Sade Published by Senior Closs of Chominocle High School DAYTON, oHlo ,X 7 745 To 0ur Fathers Dads of Chaminade, to you we dedicate this story of our high school life in return for the unfailing interest you have shown in our activities of the classroom and of the athletic field. There is little here recorded which we could have accomplished without your hearty encouragement. From our first day at Chaminade till graduation night, we did things better because you were always on our side. The pleasure we trust you will derive from reading these pages can never exceed the gratitude we feel for your gener- ous backing of all our undertakings. With the spiritual and intellectual materials Chaminade has provided us we propose to build lives of which you can be always iustly proud. This book is your blueprint. Check us carefully as we work! Mr G. Neff, Mr. J. Sayer, Mr. E. Brown, Mr. H. Amann MR. ERNEST BROWN President of Fathers' Club Dedic MRS. SYLVAN CONNAIR President of Mothers' Club ation To Our Nlothers Dear Mothers, as you page through this memory book dedicated to you may the ioyful pride you felt at our scholastic, ath- letic or social triumphs fill your hearts again. Within these covers we have caught and held for you what now appear to be but a few moments in our march of time. We want you to consider each picture, each word as a proof of our gratitude for the loving care with which you guided our first faltering footsteps and for the continued devotion with which you aided our progress through Chaminade. The enthusiasm, opti- mism and faith of our youth is recorded here for you to cherish and remember. We pray that in the coming years you will see realized in each of us the ideals of relig- ion, learning and sportsmanship which Chaminade with your help has instilled in our souls. Mrs. H. Through his efforts under the guiding inspiration of his heavenly Queen, Father Chaminade's influence is being felt more and more the world over. lt is alto- gether fitting, therefore, that Chaminade High School be in the vanguard, proclaiming his name and bringing glory to it. VERY REV. BRO. BERNARD T. SCHAD, S.M. Supervisor ol Schools of the Socieiy of Mary Cincinnati Province VERY REV. WALTER C. TREDTIN, S.M Provincial Superior of the Society of Mary Cincinnati Province Our Principal Dear Seniors: I am happy to have the opportunity to say a final word to you at the close of another school year. As students your lives have been much the same as in any other school. Your studies, your extra-curricular activities-sports, drives, music, dramatics, iournalism, missions-have kept the ball of time rolling and at the same time have provided amusement and recreation. Life was seldom dull, but it was full of little cares and worries-assignments, reports, ambitions to reach desired goals, anticipations of free days and vacations. All of these you carry away to be preserved in the book of your memories. In your prayers, labors, services to God and to country, carry out the designs of your Leader. Follow Him along with Mary, then no power, no trial, no disappointment, no sorrow can stop you on your way to God. Sincerely yours in J.M.J. Bro. Julius F. May, S.M. Principal Administration Bro. Paul O'Brien, S.M. Assistant Principal Bro. Bernard Reckerf, S.M. The qualities of citizen- ship are stressed, which provide him with experiences that are bound to in- fluence his hahits, knowledge and at- titudes, thus securing individual and community health. The administration directs the student to carry on learning activities that have as their outcome his growth and advancement in wisdom. Miss Agnes Mahle Secretary W Bro. Wm. V.
