Phoiographg A movie star's portrait! A presidential news conference! Pictures from the moon! All of these have a common denominator - the basics of photography. These beginning fundamentals oflenses, camera, chemistry, lighting and darkroom work are learned by the new students in photography. As his skills increase, more complicated jobs are performed in the fields of illustration, portraiture, photo- journalism, commercial, industrial photog- raphy with the use of both still and motion picture. Advanced photographers become proficient in the more exciting fields of color photography and color printing. Graduates are to be found in the many branches of the Federal and District Govern- ments, in the many illustrative and portrait studios in Washington, as well as the armed forces.
