The Chamberlain Cubs completed the 1957-58 season with an outstanding record of 20 wins and 6 losses, which carried them to the finals of the Region VI tourney, where they were defeated by the highly rated Forestburg team by a score of 40 to 34. The Cubs scored a decisive victory over the Fort Pierre team in first round play. Coach Bell started the season with 4 returning lettermen. The boys showed steady improvement with each game and developed into one of the outstanding teams in the state. The following boys will be lost by graduation: Bob Healy, Curtis Wait, John Sorensen, .Terry Adams and Allen Strand.
