Being nudged by one touchdown in the closing seconds of the opening game at Culter hurt the team but Chad- wick bounced back to down Pasadena Academy 49 to 18 by inspired play With hope for another championship brightened the Mariner Six then defeated Paramount Brethren 51 to 25 Bellflower Christian shat tered this dream however by trouncing the Mariners 6 to 48 Despite the fine playing of Tom Midgley Walt T111 y and Tom Holland Chadwick lost to the Highlanders of Flmtridge 22 to 53 Be fore a huge Homecoming Day crowd the Mariners clirnaxed the season by rolling over Cate School 38 to 20 Tom Holland Tony Barnes Doug Disney Walt Tilley Eric Hoberg Harry Sturges Hank Haman Tom Midgley and Jim Luckman were outstanding
