Assistant Principals flrs. Ruth S. Lape, Assistant Prin- Mr. Thomas W. Peirano, Assistant ipal, in Charge of Pupil Personnel. Principal, in Charge of Teacher Personnel. nd Counselors Most of the detail relating to the operation of our school goes under the scrutiny of the individuals pictured on this page. Problems relating to the faculty and the materials necessary for the operation of this huge institution come directly under the control of Mr. Peirano, who, with painstaking con- cern, considers each problem in infinite detail. The multitude of problems aris- ing from student activities and conduct are the direct responsibility of Mrs. Lape. Her understanding and patience in treating the problems of each group or individual assures a fair and equitable consideration for everyone. So Wide and varied are the problems which come to Mrs, Lape that it is impossible even to list them here. In close cooperation with Mrs. Lape are the counselors who detail and amass the mountains of information relating to the individual stu- dents of our school. Here again, the keynote of the relationship between stu- dents and administration is understanding and concern for the individual him- self. Our counselors seek diligently for causes in pupil behavior, not for the actions in themselves. Counseling responsibility has been divided into class levels with each of the four counselors responsible for one division. ln any given school year it is manifestly impossible to evaluate the good achieved by the work of a group of such dedicated individuals.
