Math Department's Thoroughly Modern. Milly Mathematical truths never change, but subject content and learning methods certainly do. This year for the first time, every course in the math- ematics department has become modern math. The nine courses serve 1200 students, with a range from general math to trigonometry and pre-calculus. The trend to computer-oriented instruction is evidenced most by the new computer math class, that finally received its long-awaited computer on March 16. Melvin Schwartz Dept. Business Education Has Wallet-stuffing Goal Providing courses that can put a dollar in a student's pocket now, while a contribution is also being made for the educated person is a primary aim for the business education department. New electric and electronic equipment helps. The merchandising class here is utilizing closed circuit T.V. The guest lecturer re- corded his talk first period, and other classes throughout the day saw it on T.V. replay.
