F. Swinney of Kansas City. The strange vapors and bubblingtest tubes found in this second home for science majors are just a part of the total science and math program housed in this building. Besides physics and chemistry, mathematics, biology, and geology classes are held in various rooms throughout the building. ,The tower, kept closed now, is the highest point in Howard County. ' 1 ' 'Tif f if if CUPPLES HALL The College Li- brary, erected in 1899, contains over 65,000 volumes and numerous publica- tions and period- icals. There are four levels of fire- proof stacks, two offices, a lobby, and four reading rooms. It is here that freshmen wade through the first in a long series of term papers.

Due to the fire in the Old Gym, the Field House now serves the whole Physical Education Department. Alterations have been made on the interior this year to meet the need for more extensive facilities. THE EYRIE The seat of social activity on campus, the Eyrie plays host to colorful dances and social events, the new radio station, and various organizational meetings. The Eagle's Nest also provides a good place for groups of students to get together, have a coke , and hash over current events, gripes, and the latest campus news.
