Another school year is drawing to a close and one-third of our student body will be mov- ing on in a few days to become a part of an- other school. To them we say good-bye, good luck, and God bless you. Next fall, in their stead, We will have with us many new students who will come to us slightly bewildered and confused. However, in a short time they will have be- come accustomed to our rules and Ways and will shoulder their share oftheresponsibilites of making our school run smoothly. To them We say Welcome, good luck, and have ahappy three years. Irving W. l l l 1 f LV' LLIIJ L1AA.xLv.n. --- . Y f, OUR THEME By Carol Wolinski The white pine pictured on this years Reflector cover symbolizes our theme, The Forest. Sagin- aw being a lumbering state had its share of trees, forests, and accompanying folklore so we thought that The Forest would make an ideal theme for our first attempt. As the trees stood there so tall, proud, and state' lv so it is true that many a Central student ln af- ter years made his mark in life and stood out tall, h' fellow citizens all proud, and stately among 18 over the world. As it is true of the forests through out our great country, it is also true of our great school. Both contain many various kinds of pupils, not one just like another, some of great value, others worthless, some that grow and remain tall and stately even through storms and hardshipsg a few crippled and broken but flourishing regardless of their handicap, all seeking the sunshine of life. What of those that never will amount to any- thing? They will become the outcast, the kind of people that dictators and evildoers thrive on. They will turn to anyone who will offer them a solution for their problems. Thank God there are not too many of these or it wouldn't be long be- fore we would lose our precious freedom. Will the people who have worked and learned and really carried the load always be able to count- erbalance the lazy and the ignorant? Let's pray to Godthat it will alwaysbe so. There is nothingworse than a forest that has lost out due to neglect. l 'T MRS.
