At the head of the Student Government is Student Council, members of which are chosen by the students. This group hears the voice of the student body through its representatives in Roll Room Congress. Student Council promotes student thinking by Town Hall meetings, Roll Room forums and Cats' Meows. Student Council gives the students participation and experi- ence in self-government with the Roll Room Congress and the election of class and council officers. The Council holds trials, schedules and evaluates assemblies, carries on inter-school rela- tions builds school morale, charters clubs, holds intra-mural sports tournaments and other contests, and sponsors the freshman mixer.

Is it just a big building, with a lot of rooms with desks in them, or is it the people, We, the students and faculty of Central High? Take us out of Central and what do We have? Empty rooms, deserted corridors and a lonely stillness everywhere. We make our school what it is. We win the honors, establish the records, and prepare it for future students Who Will take our place here.
