Today, education is the greatest value the youth of this generation can find in any market. It opens doors to opportunity which otherwise would be impossible to enter. It allows the recipient to pick and choose his or her field of vocation. But, like anything worthwhile it is gained only by effort, sweat and devotion. Remember, all the efforts expended in the obtaining of an education are returned ten-fold to those who have the fortitude to follow through until graduation. I. L. Obermark Administrative Assistant .L Mrs Diamond Librarian Mrs. Berry, Assistant Librarian

A Message for the June Guidance in School The Guidance staff in high school and college is supported by the school administration because educators believe that all individuals permitted to enroll have the ability to learn. Without this the entire rationale for guidance disappears. True, some learn faster than others, but even slow learners have the ability to make choices. A person who is mentally healthy bases his choices on concern for the welfare of others as well as himself. The role of the counselor is to help the individual to know himself, to know his present and potential environments and to integrate these two factors. The counselor should also follow through with each pupil as he make choices at future times. Arnold Zoft Assistant Principal I967 Yearbook Central High School has opened its arms to many thousands of students in this community for over One Hundred Years. She is given children to teach and has graduated them as fine young men and women, able to leave their mark on the American Scene through their significant con- tributions in every area, from the most honored, to the most humble. Through the years, her countless faculties have been sincere and learned. Each faculty has been most anxious to preserve our American Heritage by leaving the student in that state of mind, body and skill that will enable him to serve his country well and to live a most successful life. Therefore, let us as students move through her halls of learning ever conscious of her greatness and appreciative of the good that can be realized under her care. Finally, let us as a faculty carry on ln her work of over a century, embracing the trust placed upon'us, and the responsibility that is ours. In this manner we can thereby help insure for ourselves and our children the good of the ages. G.V, Hasser Assistant Principal
