c ,F ,, -'Kkf-is .43 How far one has travelled physically is measured in miles. How far one has travelled culturally is measured by the manner in which he uses his native language. No one is educated until he is able to express himself correctly. The English you have studied the past four years in High School is the basis for all read- ing material you will use the rest of your life. The time you have spent or will spend in the future in mastering the English Language will pay dividends even though you may not know when or how. I sincerely wish every member of the graduating class success in his chosen line of work, Arnold Zopf Assistant Principal TO OUR GRADUATES To each graduate is extended our hearti- est congratulations in this important life's milestone. Each has prepared himself for what lies ahead to the extent of the industry and self discipline that he exercised over the years just passed. Our efforts at the high school have been to graduate a well-rounded person somewhat conversant with principles based upon his nature as aman, and his rela- tionship to his environment. In the years that lie ahead, you graduates will find yourselves enmeshed in man's great struggles, whether it be to achieve material goals, to conquer space, or to the dedication of the survival of one way of life as opposed to another. Today the vast panorama of man's knowledge is ever widening and reaching toward the infinite, what can be known appears to be endlessg dreams that once were seemingly impossible are now a reality.Man has consistently shown his ability to master the material and the ele- ments, and even now, evidences the promise of bringing under his dominion the vast spaces and the planets of the Universe. In your future efforts in this great struggle for the material, and in your thirst for knowledge, continually strive for self-improvement and the great moral virtues of justice, prudence, courage, humility and integrity. Remember to make good habits a part of your life, and direct your efforts toward achieving maturity in thought, emotions and conduct. Be always conscious of your relationship to God. Be convinced that He is on your side. You be on His side, thus in- suring yourself of a peace of mind, and a successful, happy life. George Has'ser, Assistant Principal Mi fun
