FROM MR. BARR It takes the combined efforts of many people to carry on an important en- terprise such as maintaining a successful metropolitan high school. Through the combined efforts of the students, faculty members, and administrators, Central High School has, during the present year, achieved a measure of success of which we may all be justly proud. We can be justly proud of our participation in such community efforts as the tax campaign. school enumeration, and the bond elec- tion, to which both students and the entire school staff contributed by giving generously of their time and talents. We can be especially proud of the way our school has carried out the in- tegration program. This was due to the splendid spirit shown by all our stu- dents both new and old The outstandin success of the ro ram is evidence - - S P 8 also that it was well thought out and prepared for. The accomplishments of the current year presage the ongoing success dur- ing its second century of this great school. FROM MR. WELD FROM MR. JORDAN Two of the happiest years of my rather long teaching career were spent out in Portable 2 with classes in Biology and General Science. Mr. Douglass and Mr. Weir were principals at that time. My return to Central High School. as As- sistant Principal, has been very interesting and most pleasant. The misfortune of having to lose several weeks this year while I was in the hospital revealed again to me the friendliness of the Central faculty, the pupils, and the par- ent's organizations. While I have not become very well acquaint- ed with the seniors in this year's graduating class, I am looking forward, with much pleasure, to working with the pupils of this fine school. Wm. T. Weld Miss Maeta Wentz Hello! - Good Bye! and Good Luck. We have spent one year together at Central -There have been many experiences we have shared. I believe and hope all of us are wiser, happier and more loyal to Central as the result of hav- ing worked together. After the glamour of Class Day--Ribbon- Prom and Graduation are gone-then begins the real test-did Central serve you well-in- spire you? Did you take advantage of your opportunities? You will then discover you owe Central much-Repay her-Be loyal--Be Friendly- Be Helpful-Be Honest. Remember There will always be a Central High School if you are all of these, A. B. Jordan Miss Mary Birtley 'Z
