' lllllllil0l'llE l came among you, loyal friends, A stranger and unknown, And felt, as some of you perhaps, All out of place-alone. But things have changed since then somehow, And deep within my heart There is a different feeling feeling now That the time has come to part. We,'e had our ups and downs, 'tis true, And here l wish to say- l've learned to love each one of you, ln a brotherly sort of way. Together, we have studied hard, We've won, we've made the grade. We owe a lot to Central High For progress we have made, The faculty of Central High have stood By us through thick and thin, Have walked with us hand in hand- Unselfishly, they helped us win. They've backed us on the sporting field, They've cheered us on the grid, And from the bottom of our hearts, Here's thanks for what they did, The memory of their loyalty, Their patience, and their cares, Their sacrifices and love for us Will linger through the years. And to you all of Central High, Students and teachers, too, Just carry on when we are gone, We've something else to do. l feel most grateful to you all, And thanks for everything, And for old Central High, and you, Glad praises ever sing. So, let me say-we're parting now- l love each one of you, 'Tis not good-bye for you and me, But iust a fond adieu. -TOMMY McCLUSKEY, Class Poet.

ug p ll fTune-American Prayeri ir if ir A prayer we would offer thee, Father, A prayer that is humble and low, Lend us thy strength and courage, Lord Into this turmoil to go. As we leave teachers, friends, ALMA MATER, Take our paths alone. Moy we cherish these mem'ries forever And think of joys we have known. Though some will go into battle, On the fields of strife over there, We will always remember And offer to God our prayer: That soon may the forces of evil Fall ot last on their knees, With the flag of thy Kingdom of Heaven Flying High in the breeze! Protect us forever from evil And guide us through life, and then May we remember Central, And pray to God . . , AMEN. --DAN HODGE
