18 THE PNALKA to run it and the mile. He succeeded in doing both, after a fashion, and has been talking about it ever since. Chaunce talked, Wilbur talked, W. Wilbur talked, E. Kingsbury talked, and incidentally got married. One thing peculiar about all the above-mentioned talk-it was about one topic. Then the Senior year, that year of glory and joy forever, began. Of course Kingsbury was still talking and his hair had grown white, in spots. We undertook to publish an annual and chose the best looking fellow for manager, and the worst, with a few exceptions, for editor. Judson Strong began to oppose momentous graft in the management of such tremendous interests as a high school annual. Yerrall changed his habits. He stopped studying and ran the basketball team and incidentally forgot to shave. Wilbur had become a great and exalted personageAin Wilbur's opinion, and Wilbur's opinion is infallibleein Wilbur's opinion. So of course, Wilbur l-.Y a great and exalted personage. Doubleday, the human tomb- stone, best known by his pale blue grouch, almost smiled when he reported for the Senior Fair. The crowning glory of the class has but recently come upon us. Prof. Scantlebury, one of the fifty-seven varieties of PNALKA managers, has announced to us that he has awarded the prize, offered by the Darwin Club for the missing link, to Robert Powers Anderson and Frank Day Bishop. The medal had to be sawed in two. The Professor remarks, Such rare specimens should be closely guarded, as in a moment of aberration ofthe intellect they would be likely'to sign with P. T. Barnum. Dazzled by this new honor let us close the record and our existence. May the history of IQO7 be the most glorious, throughout the years, in the archives of our beloved S. H. S.
