In this energy-conscious year, car-pooling seemed to be eco- nomical and popular. Some students also came by bus, bike, foot, or thumb. Those with their own wheels cruised down Central in birds , bombs , four-Wheelers , and compacts . Trucks were hot, jacked-up four feet with roll bar, chrome, and K.C.s .
