MYERS COACHES OACH "BENNIE" WINICLEMAN'S methods of Football and Basket Ball tactics have proved a succcss since his coming to Central two years ago. This is testified to by the fact that his teams have won the City Football Championship two years in succession and the City Championship in Basket Ball this year. Far more valuable than the results he has achieved in a coaching way is the loyal school spirit which he has instilled into the students by his "peppery" talks, in the pep rallies before the games. To further Central's and Fort Wo1'th's hopes for a state title he has organized a football class which is regularly attended by some 200 boys. Coach Berry is our well-loved and efficient Business Manager and Track Coach. His management of iinances enabled the Panthers to take their trip to California to play the Los Angeles All-Stars. His ability as a track coach is very evident. His teams always make a good showing at the Invitation meets as well as at the District and State meets. This year's team is showing such form as to be one of the best in the history of the school. Coach Myers is a very capable assistant football and basket ball coach. Ile is a friend to every boy in giving advice and help where needed. He assists Mr. Winkleman in drilling the fundamentals into the football class. Mr. Myers has been with Central for two years and the results of his work are already evident. We hope he will be with us many more years. ., ,N A..-.i.8.l1.J-.slfiifi

BILL BROWN VIRGINIA MASON ANITA TUCKER ALFRED RUSSELL Yell Leaders The old saying, "Like Father Like Son," could be applied to athletics, for a team is as good as the support it receives from the bleachers. Central was represented by one of the largest Pep Squads in the history of the school this year. Our Yell Leaders were not only faithful during the games but they inspired and organized yells in numerous pep rallies as well. Bill Brown, Virginia Mason, Anita Tucker, and Al Russell energetically led our yells. They had that old spirit of fight so characteristic of the Panthers, and they exhibited this spirit in peppy talks as well as in yells.
