Commercial Club
The students of commercial subjects have been desirous of organizing a
democratic commercial club during the past several years. On October 21,
1926, a meeting was called by those who were anxious to get started. The
organization was perfected, .a suitable name Was selected, and the club has
functioned with credit to our high school since its initial meeting.
The purpose Of the Commercial Club is to relate the pupil better to the
business World and to stimulate a social relationship among the pupils studying
commercial subjects. This social contact is carried over into life and will be
valuable during their business career.
In the club meetings the restr.aint of regular class work is removed, which
makes possible the development of leadership among the student body, The
organization discusses topics of vital interest that are not found in the usual
course. Men of the business world and former students are placed on the
program to discuss problems that the pupil will meet with after graduation.
This aids him in making his preparation in the right direction.
