They compete in the Inter-City Rifle League. This year Centra1's team Went un- Ordnance FRONT ROW: Policky, McCann, Jaksich, Harkins. SECOND ROW: R nemeyer, Mauro, Blanchard, Lin eman. defeated. Two of the many matches participated in are the Kemper Mili- tary Academy's Invitational Rifle Match and the Invitational Rifle Match at Creighton University. and Signal Staff The purpose of the Ordnance Staff is to prepare the equipment needed for the R.O.T.C. department. Their job is the issuing and maintenance of the Weapons and other materials used for instruc- tional andfor drill purposes. The care of audio visual equipment belonging to the R.O.T.C. department is also their responsibility. d l

Maybe I'm outranked, but I'm not outsizedlu The Central High School Color Guard is in charge of presenting the United States flag and the Central High School flag. To become a member of the Color Guard a cadet is required to have excellent marching ability and a thor- ough knowledge of the manual-of-arms. The Color Guard serves at impor- tant school functions: the Military Ball, Road Show, and at Central's football and basketball games. On occasion, the Color Guard goes outside of the city. The Color Guard Commanders are: Captain Douglas Arthur and First Lieu- tenant Malcolm Adams.

FIFTH ROW: Montgomery, McFarlane, Green, Buckalew, Welna, Janecek, Hamm, Skinner, Trimble Spigner, Tichauer, D. Skipton, Larson, Ashcraft. The Rifle Club was formed this year. It is open to all students, whether or not they are taking R.O.T.C. The purpose of the club is to teach students the proper procedure in handling a rifle. They are taught under the super- vision of First Sergeant C. D. Russell and Master Sergeant J. W. Evans. They practice on the rifle range with equip- ment supplied by the R.0.T.C. Depart- ment.
