GIRLS BASKETBALL Under the leadership of Coach Elva Love Davis the girls basketball team was victorious in five of its eight league games. Then, too, they won all the non-league games played. The girls won the Class C d Championship Tournament when they defeated Bruce. They entere the state games playing their first game at Beall with Middletown. . . h. This team will lose two of its players this year both members of t IS year's graduating class:-Dorothy Jean Johnston, forward and Colleen Smith, guard. Next year there will be four regular holdovers in addition to several reservesp So prospects for next year are most encouraging. GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM CENTRAL'S ALLEGANY COUNTY CLASS C CHAMPIONS The Orange and Black sextet, coached by Mrs. Elva Love Davis, former Central star, won 13 and lost 4 during the season.
