SCHOOL CALENDAR SEPTEMBER- 7-School opens. 9-First Assembly of new year. 15-Senior Class officers were elected and a staff for our yearbook. 15-Biology Club comes back from a field trip scratching 21-Mr. McCullough finds speaker's stand in two pieces. 22-Mr. Wittich visits Seniors to take orders for announcements. 23-Senior English class is buzzed by a hawk. 29-Mr. Lemley went away with a broken camera. fWho had his picture taken last'?J OCTOBER- 5-Juniors order class rings. 12-Seniors vote on Yearbook. 12-Curtis Johnson breaks collar bone in Bruce soccer game. 15-Mrs. Whiteman frepresentative from Rosenbaum! visits Seniors. 21-Everyone has indigestion, fire bell rings at lunch time. 24-Anna Louise Eichhorn decides to go to Cumberland through Barton. 25-Lounge Empty! Report cards came out. 29-Old Man Winter has covered every- thing with a blanket of snow. NOVEMBER- 4-Dot. Johnson gets a red face when asked her Bus number. 24-Everyone goes home for a nice Thanks- giving. DECEMBER- 2-First Movie A Christmas Carol. 6-Blue Monday-Report cards. 7-Ruth Cuthbertson thinks her finger is part of a seam in her blouse and sews it. 17-Miss Hughes is absent from school. 17-Christmas Assembly is regarded as a sacred one. 17-Everyone goes home to do his Christ- mas shopping. JANUARY- 3-The halls of old Central are once again filled with laughter 6-Andy Smith and Charles Duckworth suddenly developed a cold and were sent from Law Class for coughing. 7-Lee Smith spilled a dog fish in chemistry class and the dog fish bit back by chas- ing them all out of class. 10-Mr. Goldfine visits the Senior class. 14-Lois Grindle pronounces Mr. Hodg- don's name correctly. 18-Juniors are thrilled with their new class rings. 18-Senior proofs arrive. fpictures don't lie!J 19-Miss Loftus gives information to Junior and Senior girls on nursing. 21-Due to no fault of their own, Jenny Lee Miller and Freda Hausrath missed the last bus from Cumberland and were brought home by the State Police. FEBRUARY- 4-Seniors strike it rich from Poverty Dance. 8-Central Tigers upset The Allegany Campers with a score of 29-41 ! ! ! ! 9-10- Belle of Bagdad is presented by Music Department. 12-Billy Lucas puts a dime in juke box. 22-Sophomores have a George Washington Dance. MARCH- 10-Juniors hold a dance to pay expenses to Washington. 31-Seniors present Going on 17 . APRIL- 30-Students journey to Fort Hill to prac- tice for Music Festival. MAY- 3-Spring Festival is presented at Fort Hill. 10-Band and Orchestra Concert is held at Fort Hill. 18-Seniors Farewell Assembly.. 19-Fashion Show. Girls model beautiful garments made in Home Economics Class. 25-Junior Farewell to Seniors. JUNE- 5-Church Day. 7-Class Night 9-Graduation Day. 17-End of School Year.
