JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY When September 1946 rolled around we all were very proud to be the verdent Freshmen. Our first official act as Freshmen was to elect offi- cers. For 9-A section they were Rachel Marshall, President, Mary Mc- Partland, Vice President, Alan Arnold, Treasurer, and Rose Marie Dilfer, Secretary. For 9-B section - Margaret Bogie, President, Rose Marie Rowan, Secretary-Treasurer, and Charles Schramm, Vice President. Many activities were carried on in our Freshman year. Rose Marie Rowan and Mary McPartland were the Freshman representatives in the May Queen's court. ' Our Sophomore year was a very pleasant one. At our class election we made Margaret Bogie, President, Jeanette Kirkwood, Vice President, Rose Marie Dilfer, Treasurer, and Danile Crable, Secretary, Mr. E. J. Lewicki was our class adviser. While Sophomores we published a class paper, Tiger Tales. This paper proved very successful. A Dramatic Club and a Bird Club were organized under the leadership of Miss Mayer and of Mr. Hodgdon. This year Jeanette Kirkwood and Rachel Marshall were the May Queen Attendants for our class. When our Junior year opened we had a serious problem comfronting us because our class adviser had left to teach in another school. For our new adviser Mr. Shirey was our choice. The officers elected were Isaac Love, President, Jack Miller, Vice President, Jeanette Kirkwood, Treas- urer, and Margaret Bogie, Secretary. How thrilled we were the day we selected our class rings. Our Happi- ness was complete when the rings arrived. We are so proud to wear them. May 27 was chosen as the date for the Junior-Senior Prom. The least that may be said is that the prom was a social and artistic success. Now in a few short months we shall move up to the rank of Seniors. We all hope our final year in Central will be as successful and happy as our Junior year has been.
