Then at last Central met Muskegon. In that traditional game the fates had decreed against her. Though throughout most of the season critics had expected Central to hold her own with the Muskies the final outcome of the game was not unexpected. Muskegon, who had been playing better football than has been seen in Michigan for a long time, was especially urged to her best effort because of the presence of Bennie Oosterbaane, Captain of Michigan's team this year and also twice chosen all-American end. The game started out to be a good contest, for the score at the end of the first quarter was O-fi in favor of Muskegon. The final score of the game was O-H for Muskegon. In this one game alone Central was really badly beateng however, we may take consolation in the fact that only a state-championship team was able to do this. .-Xlthough Central did not win as many games in score this year as some other years, we feel that the season has been a success, for besides winning the fair number of games in score and some others in moral victories, her team at all times played in a way that could reflect only credit on her school. At all times her play was characterized by clean, hard iight. On and off the held the players trained themselves to be men, which after all is the most important thing. Because of this we say the season was a true success and hope that football seasons in the future may be as successful. f -1' Q 'X -P N. 4- , - -' v -4 Ne I V, 1 -, 5 Varicn Haskin Campbell Steketee Fred Price Bert Koning K fum
