Coach Craig Fay CROSS COUNTRY-73 According to Coach Craig Fay, 1973 was the best season in three because of the over-all depth of the team. There were seven men who ran under 11:00.0. Since Pat Kelleher was the only senior on the team, Coach Fay looks for another good year in '74. The Warriors won second in the district, finished second in two other meets and tied for first in another. State qualifiers finished 17th in the state meet. Pat Kelleher and Rich Roth had the year's best times-10:24 and 10:32, respectively. Mike Augustine off the ground and running. Central should be real strong in '74 with six returning letterman, according to Coach Tom Hughes. It was the addition of new players, largely beginners, that bolstered the squad this year. Many played on the varsity squad. The team lost some very close matches. The season's record was 2-6. Top players were Scott Woodard, Kevin Decker, and Barrett Westbrook. Top doubles were Tod Obergfell—Tim Osborne; Greg Williams—Gene Benson; and Mark Williams—John Davis.

GOLF-73 In 1973 (fall) Central had one of its finest years in golf, breaking previous team rec- ords three times near the end of the season; also the team had the highest ever in the district tournament. Shouldn't they have a trophy for finish- ing seventh in a field of ten teams in the tournament. Amen!!
